The opening ceremony will be an exciting session moderated by media personality Julie Gichuru. It will feature veteran writers Henry ole Kulet and Muthoni Likimani who will discuss the topic “Writing across generations.”
Last year, we started with “Cucu” Likimani who inspired alot of the people present to think of how their writing can serve society. She also showed them that writing is a life-long career. Maryanne Kemei and Njonjo Mue wrote about that experience.
For members of the public who will be joining us for the first time, remember that Creatives Academy is open to members of the public at a nominal fee of 500 shillings per session which is paid on arrival. One can get a certificate for an additional fee. Each session is independent, and one does not need to attend every week to get a certificate.
Details of the topics being discussed throughout the semester are here.
